Promote life skill education and healthy practices among the students:
The project was implemented by JMECT on promoting life skill education and ensuring healthy practices among the 9 different schools under 4 community habitations in the year of 2012. The mentioned project was supported by The Action North East Trust (ANT)
Setting up Educational centers for refugee students:
People were displaced from their native land due to ethnic violence at Bodo-land, Assam in 2012. They had lost their houses, family members and the necessary requirements to sustain in their lives. According to Government data, approximately 5 lakh people, who were being called refugees, were given shelter in the refugee camps of Kokrajhar, Chirang, Bongaigaon and Dhubri districts of Assam due to the Muslim-Bodo riots. In this situation, the education of the children, who stayed in the refugee camps, came to a standstill and they became isolated from the mainstream of the society. To ensure the continuity of education of such children, JMECT has set up 5 learning centers within the premises of the refugee camps with the support of “The ANT”.
Supplementary education for school-going and drop out children:
The project “Supplementary Education for school-going and drop out children” aiming to improve the quality of education and to reduce the vulnerability of drop out children through education was implemented by JMECT in 6 minority concentrated villages of Tapattary Development Block area under the district of Bongaigaon, Assam. The project was funded by Sir Dorabji Tata trust, Mumbai and was executed in the field from March 2012 to October 2014.
Schooling and learning improvement program for children JMECT is implemented a project on improvement of learning and schooling environment for the children of Bongaigaon with the support of the Jamsetji Tata Trust. The project covered 9 villages of Tapattary development block area in the district of Bongaigaon for the period of 3.5 years. 8 remedial coaching centers, 9 pre-primary learning centers and 2 model education centers have been set up and completed successfully on march,2018
Education Program for children of slum areas
The organization implemented an Education program in the slum area of Abhayapuri from January ,2015 to march,2018 This program is supported by Shamdasni Foundation. JMECT reaches out to 40-56 yearly slum children through this program.
Ensuring quality education for children residing in rural areas of Bongaigaon:
JMECT is working with 4 Govt. primary schools within the existing framework by providing Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) support in government school and remedial support services for school going children. Along with this, 10 government schools covered only for systematic improvement through regular meetings, workshops, trainings, parents/guardian meetings, group discussions with teachers, other government officials as well as the members of School Management committee on the related issues. Organizational Development also another important initiative in the capacity building program. The project is supported by Wipro Foundation and implementing from March,2015 to March,2019 ..

The project “ASI-Education ” aiming to improve the quality of education and to reduce the vulnerability of drop out children through education was implemented by JMECT in 25 minority concentrated villages of Tapattary Development Block area under the district of Bongaigaon, Assam. The project is supported funded by Tata Trust, Mumbai and in implementing executed in the field from October,2019.
